Overview
Victor A. Bruzos is a registered patent attorney and trademark portfolio counselor who serves as Of Counsel to Malloy & Malloy, P.L. Based in West Palm Beach, he counsels inventors, entrepreneurs, businesses, research universities, and established corporations on the protection, management, and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
His patent practice spans a broad range of technical fields, including electronics and software, aerospace and space systems, agricultural and construction equipment, manufacturing technologies, medical devices, defense systems, and artificial intelligence (among other fields). He prepares and prosecutes utility patent applications and handles design patent matters.
Beyond patent prosecution, Victor advises clients on trademark clearance, prosecution, and portfolio management, as well as copyright, trade secret, and broader intellectual property counseling matters. His practice also includes contested matters, including federal intellectual property litigation and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Background
Victor joined Malloy & Malloy in 2019 as a Patent Engineer and continued with the Firm as a law clerk while attending law school. During that time, he served as President of the University of Miami's Intellectual Property Law Society and completed a legal internship with NASA's Office of the General Counsel. Following law school and his admission to The Florida Bar, he joined the Firm as an Associate and later assumed his current role as Of Counsel.
Victor is a fourth-generation lawyer and third-generation registered patent attorney.
Victor, Personally
Victor considers himself fortunate to practice in a field he genuinely enjoys and takes pride in the relationships he develops with his clients. He values getting to know the people behind each matter and understanding the goals that shape their work. In his limited free time, Victor enjoys playing golf and is an enthusiastic advocate for West Palm Beach, the community he calls home.
