Welcome

Intellectual property counsel, from idea to enforcement.

I am a West Palm Beach, Florida-based registered patent attorney and trademark portfolio counselor. I work with inventors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and leading corporations to apply for, secure, protect, and leverage their intellectual property. From the first conversation about a novel technology through the issuance of a patent or registration of a trademark, and into the licensing and enforcement that follow, I prosecute and provide counsel at every stage.

Behind every matter I handle is the depth and experience of Malloy & Malloy, P.L., Florida's oldest intellectual property law boutique.

Whether our work together is ongoing or has yet to begin, I look forward to the opportunity to be of service.

Practicing with Florida's Oldest IP Law Boutique

Victor began at the Miami office of Malloy & Malloy, P.L. as a Patent Engineer, continued with the Firm throughout law school, and joined as an Associate upon his admission to The Florida Bar. Today, he serves as an Of-Counsel member and Registered Patent Attorney.

Founded in Miami in 1959, Malloy & Malloy, P.L. has focused exclusively on Intellectual Property Law for nearly seven decades, making it Florida's oldest IP law boutique. Built around the idea of Florida as a crossroads for innovation, commerce, and international business, the Firm has developed a longstanding, exceptional reputation and maintains lasting relationships with clients, universities, businesses, and other attorneys, both foreign and domestic, across a wide range of industries. That tradition of specialized expertise, lasting client relationships, and extraordinary legal service is the foundation of Victor's practice.

A Legacy in Intellectual Property

A Third-Generation Patent Attorney

Victor is a third-generation patent attorney. His grandfather, John Cyril Malloy, Jr., founded Malloy & Malloy in Miami in 1959 and was among the first patent attorneys in the State of Florida.

His mother, Jennie S. Malloy, followed her father into the profession at a time when few women practiced patent law, and she became one of Florida's first female patent attorneys. She learned the practice working alongside him and went on to become Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law by The Florida Bar. Now semi-retired, she serves as Of Counsel to the Firm.

Victor joined the Firm in a professional capacity in 2019. Much as his mother learned the practice from her father, Victor learned it from her and from the many other attorneys he has worked alongside since, each of whom has shaped the way he practices today.
